Description

Crock Pot Coca Cola Pot Roast is a delightful dish featuring succulent beef and savory vegetables braised in a sweet and tangy coca cola sauce, perfect for a quick dinner or a comforting meal at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pound boneless beef chuck roast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes halved
  • 4 carrots cut into pieces
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 12 ounces coca cola
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ounce envelope beefy onion soup mix
  • 1 ounce envelope brown gravy mix
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  1. Season the chuck roast with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the roast in the skillet until browned on each side.
  4. Transfer the roast to the slow cooker.
  5. Place potatoes, carrots, and onion around the roast.
  6. Combine coca cola, worcestershire sauce, beefy onion soup mix, brown gravy mix, and minced garlic in a bowl and whisk together.
  7. Pour the sauce over the roast and vegetables in the slow cooker.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 6 hours until the meat is tender and falls apart.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider marinating the roast overnight with the seasoning before cooking.
Feel free to add other vegetables like celery or parsnips for variety.
The leftovers make great sandwiches or can be served over rice.
