Ingredients

- 1 lb roast pork shredded
- 4 slices ham
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 3 dill pickles sliced
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
Instructions
- Cut the Cuban bread in half lengthwise and spread yellow mustard evenly on both cut sides.
- Layer shredded roast pork, ham slices, Swiss cheese, and sliced pickles on the bottom half of the bread.
- Place the top half of the bread over the filling and gently press down.
- Heat a large skillet or panini press over medium heat.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet and press down with a heavy pan or weighted press if using a skillet.
- Cook for about 3 minutes per side until the bread is crispy and golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, cut into smaller pieces if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding some sliced jalapeños or garlic to the sandwich.
Using a panini press can give a more even crisp to the bread compared to a skillet.
Feel free to toast the bread before assembling for added crunch.
