Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds fresh green beans trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water.
  2. Once boiling, add the trimmed green beans and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until they are bright green and just tender.
  3. Drain the beans and set them aside to stop cooking.
  4. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the green beans, seasoning them with salt and black pepper.
  7. Toss the beans in the garlic butter and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until they are heated through and well coated. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider sprinkling some lemon juice over the green beans before serving.
Adjust the garlic to your preference for more or less intensity.
Pair these green beans with grilled chicken or fish for a complete meal.
