- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.
- In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment or a large bowl with an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, scraping the bowl at least once.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually mix in one-third of the flour mixture, followed by one-third of the milk. Repeat the process until all ingredients are combined.
- Spread the batter evenly into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
Notes
For a richer flavor, let the butter soften at room temperature before mixing.
