Description

These homemade Tortilla Chips are irresistibly crispy and bursting with flavor. With a simple mix of olive oil and lime juice and cooked to perfection, they make for the ideal snack or accompaniment to your favorite dips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 corn tortillas
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp fresh lime juice
  • ground cumin, to taste
  • kosher salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the tortillas into triangles by stacking them and slicing each tortilla in half, then in half again, and finally each quarter in half to create 8 triangles per tortilla.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. In a small bowl, combine olive oil and lime juice, then lightly brush both sides of each tortilla triangle with this mixture.
  4. Arrange the tortillas in a single layer on a baking sheet and sprinkle lightly with ground cumin and kosher salt.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crisp and lightly golden around the edges.
  6. Allow the chips to cool completely; they will become even crispier as they cool.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding your favorite spices or seasonings when sprinkling salt.
Store any leftover chips in an airtight container to maintain their crispness.
Feel free to experiment with different oils or lime zest for varied flavors.
