Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup whole-grain dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice, fresh if possible
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 bone-in half ham (about 6-10 lbs)


Instructions

  1. Adjust the oven rack to the lower third position and preheat the oven to 325°F. Line the bottom of a roasting pan with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
  2. Remove the ham from the packaging and pat it dry if it’s too wet.

Notes

Baste the ham every 30 minutes for a more flavorful glaze.
Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before carving for better moisture retention.
