Description

Camping Quesadillas are a delightful blend of melted cheese and optional chicken or veggies. Easy to prepare and cook over a campfire, these quesadillas make for a quick and satisfying meal perfect for outdoor adventures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or blend
  • 1 cup cooked chicken optional, shredded or diced
  • ½ cup sliced bell peppers optional
  • ¼ cup chopped onions optional
  • 2 tablespoons butter or oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Lay a tortilla flat and sprinkle cheese evenly over it.
  2. Add chicken and veggies if using, then top with more cheese.
  3. Cover with another tortilla.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat on a campfire or stove.
  5. Add butter or oil to the skillet, then place the quesadilla in.
  6. Cook for 3–4 minutes until golden, then flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove, let it rest briefly, slice into wedges, and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to customize fillings based on your preferences or what you have on hand.
For a crispy texture, make sure the skillet is well-heated before adding the quesadilla.
Leftovers can be reheated easily in a skillet or on a grill.
