Camping Quesadillas are a delightful blend of melted cheese and optional chicken or veggies. Easy to prepare and cook over a campfire, these quesadillas make for a quick and satisfying meal perfect for outdoor adventures.

- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or blend
- 1 cup cooked chicken optional, shredded or diced
- ½ cup sliced bell peppers optional
- ¼ cup chopped onions optional
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Lay a tortilla flat and sprinkle cheese evenly over it.
- Add chicken and veggies if using, then top with more cheese.
- Cover with another tortilla.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat on a campfire or stove.
- Add butter or oil to the skillet, then place the quesadilla in.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes until golden, then flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Remove, let it rest briefly, slice into wedges, and serve warm.
Notes
Feel free to customize fillings based on your preferences or what you have on hand.
For a crispy texture, make sure the skillet is well-heated before adding the quesadilla.
Leftovers can be reheated easily in a skillet or on a grill.
