- 2 cups (240 g) powdered sugar sifted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter for about 1 minute until it is smooth and creamy.
- Add the room temperature cream cheese and beat until fully combined, smooth, and without lumps, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Gradually mix in the powdered sugar at low speed initially, then increase to medium speed until fully incorporated.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and continue to beat for another 1–2 minutes until the frosting is light, fluffy, and silky smooth.
- If the frosting feels too soft, refrigerate for 20–30 minutes before use.
- Pipe or spread the frosting onto completely cooled cakes or cupcakes.
