Description
Try this Honey Glazed Ham for its mouthwatering flavor and easy preparation. With honey, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard, it’s an ideal choice for any special meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pound cooked ham
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and place the ham in a large roasting pan with the cut side down.
- Tightly cover the ham with foil to lock in moisture while it warms.
- Bake the covered ham in the oven until it is heated through, ensuring even warming.
- In the meantime, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and mix in the honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder until smooth.
- After heating, remove the ham from the oven and unwrap the foil. Brush the glaze evenly over the meat.
- Return the ham to the oven uncovered, allowing the glaze to thicken and caramelize as it finishes heating.
- Once done, take out the ham to rest briefly. Slice and drizzle with the extra glaze before serving.
Notes
Ensure the ham is fully cooked; this recipe only reheats it.
The glaze can be adjusted to suit your taste; add more honey for sweetness or mustard for tang.
Let the ham sit for a few minutes after cooking to retain juices.
