Description

This Strawberry Dump Cake is a delightful dessert featuring the sweet taste of strawberries and a buttery cake layer. Perfect for gatherings or a simple family treat, this easy recipe combines strawberry pie filling and yellow cake mix, making it a hassle-free option for a quick, comforting dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 21-ounce cans strawberry pie filling
  • 1 15.25-ounce box of yellow cake mix
  • ¾ cup cold butter – sliced, unsalted or salted to preference
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries – sliced
  • Cool Whip – optional


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the strawberry layer without stirring.
  4. Lay thin slices of butter evenly over the top, covering the dry mix as much as possible.
  5. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling bubbles around the edges.
  6. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or fresh sliced strawberries if desired.
